Tsunami - Art & About
For the duration of Art & About, this piece hung above George street, right outside Sydney's Town Hall. They projected lights on it at night which gave a really nice effect.

Deforestation of my face - Movember
Once more I am going to join the Moustachioed legions as Movember is almost upon us... and as I didn't want to try and tackle this beast early in the morning before going to work, I figured i'd get to work hacking it to the ground now. That is right, my lustrous overgrowth of man beard has been torn from my face. Of course it wasn't without struggle, A freshly cast blade was worn dull before I could finish this monstrous task and I had to resort to my backup blade to finish the work. But an hours crafting with a razor presents the following recreation of a masterwork. But before I go, please make sure you support Movember and the work they do by making a donation.

Lucy
My new friend Lucy. We met at the yarn bombing course and quickly became friends, possibly helped that we both love yarn, randomness and cupcakes.

Having attended the yarnbombing course then following it up with going to see Magda Sayeg, Lucy was all hepped up on fibers and wanted to drop some yarn on something.

And in the process of 'covering shit in yarn' we also discovered a potential future target...

Magda Sayeg @ Shirt Bar
Magda Sayeg of Knitta Please was recently in Sydney for Art & About. She had been here to yarn bomb Sussex Lane and I was lucky enough to make it down to an artist talk she was in at Shirt Bar.

Of course while I was here I did something that, judging by her reaction, I was the first to have done... I asked her to sign my knitting needle :)

Crochet / Yarn Bombing course @ Firstdraft Studios
Decided to go down one weekend for a yarn bombing course being held at Firstdraft Studios in Darlinghurst. It was there I met my new partner in crime, Lucy.

The door at Cafe Nookie
Dropping by Cafe Nookie in Strawberry Hills to pick up a ham & cheese croissant kinda makes me wish i drank coffee so i had an excuse to drop by more regularly, even though it is literally only a hole in the wall. They have a habit of putting up new chalk drawings on the door semi-regularly and they are usually pretty funny. This was a recent one that i grabbed a pic of while walking past, i'll try and grab shots whenever they change the design.

7-11 'Bring Your Own Cup' Slurpee Day
Yes that is a cereal container full of Slurpee... Better yet, full of WIN!!! And yes i finished the whole thing in about 30mins without brain freeze.

I knit Lace
This lace work scarf was hand knitted by yours truly. Quite a bit of it was actually made while walking. It was my first foray into lace knitting and definitely will not be my last. Still needs to be blocked before completion, but still i did smash it out pretty fast.
